Its specified chemical composition includes maximum carbon of 0.18%, silicon of 0.55%, manganese of 1.65%, phosphorus of 0.035% and sulfur of 0.035%. The controlled carbon level supports weldability, while its higher strength makes STK490 suitable for structural members subject to significant loading. Pipe Protection
