Exxon Mobile LSAW Steel Pipe ASTM A106 Gr.B

ASTM A106 Gr.B is a widely used carbon steel grade designed for pressure and fluid transport pipelines. The material typically contains carbon up to about 0.30 percent and manganese between approximately 0.29 and 1.06 percent, which helps balance strength and weldability. Its minimum yield strength is about 240 MPa and tensile strength reaches at least 415 MPa, allowing the pipe to withstand internal pressure and mechanical stress in oil and gas systems.

At Huayang Steel Pipe, large-diameter LSAW pipes produced with Gr.B steel plates are formed using the JCOE process, ensuring accurate circularity and uniform wall thickness across the pipe body. The longitudinal seam is welded through multi-pass submerged arc welding, creating deep penetration and stable metallurgical bonding. Each pipe undergoes ultrasonic testing of the steel plate, weld seam non-destructive inspection, and hydrostatic pressure testing to verify pipeline integrity.
