ASTM A106 Gr.B carbon steel is widely recognized for its stable mechanical performance in pressure pipeline systems. The material typically contains controlled levels of carbon around 0.30 percent with manganese up to approximately 1.06 percent, which contributes to balanced strength and toughness. The minimum yield strength is about 240 MPa while the tensile strength generally reaches 415–585 MPa, making it suitable for medium to high-pressure gas transmission pipelines.

At Huayang Steel Pipe, wide steel plates meeting strict chemical composition and mechanical property requirements are selected before production. The plates are formed through the JCOE process to ensure accurate diameter control and uniform stress distribution along the pipe body. Longitudinal weld seams are completed using double submerged arc welding to achieve stable penetration and strong joint performance. Each pipe undergoes ultrasonic inspection of the base metal, weld seam radiographic testing, and hydrostatic pressure testing to ensure compliance with demanding gas pipeline safety standards.
