LSAW Steel Pipe DN1200 API 5L X70 PSL2: For Long-Distance Oil & Gas Transmission

API 5L X70 PSL2 is a high-strength pipeline steel with a minimum yield strength of approximately 485 MPa and tensile strength typically ranging from about 570 to 760 MPa. The chemical composition is strictly controlled, generally limiting carbon content to around 0.20 percent while maintaining manganese levels between 1.60 and 1.80 percent. Microalloying elements such as niobium, vanadium, and titanium are added to refine grain structure and enhance strength and low-temperature toughness. PSL2 requirements also impose stricter limits on sulfur and phosphorus, along with mandatory impact testing and full-length non-destructive examination, ensuring high resistance to crack propagation in long-distance pipelines.
