API 5L X65 is a high-strength pipeline steel with a minimum yield strength of approximately 450 MPa and tensile strength ranging from about 535 to 760 MPa. The chemical composition is strictly controlled, typically limiting carbon to around 0.20 percent while maintaining manganese levels between 1.40 and 1.70 percent.
