API 5L Grade B under PSL1 requirements is designed for standard line pipe applications where basic chemical and mechanical performance control is required. Typical chemical composition includes C ≤ 0.28 percent, Mn ≤ 1.20 percent, P ≤ 0.030 percent, and S ≤ 0.030 percent, ensuring good weldability and structural integrity. The minimum yield strength is 245 MPa, with tensile strength ranging from 415 to 655 MPa. Elongation values comply with API calculation formulas based on diameter and wall thickness, meeting project acceptance criteria.
