L245 is a commonly used pipeline steel grade that also performs well in structural applications due to its balanced mechanical properties. The material typically provides a minimum yield strength of approximately 245 MPa and tensile strength ranging from about 415 to 655 MPa. Its chemical composition generally limits carbon to around 0.24 percent while maintaining manganese levels near 1.20 to 1.60 percent, which improves strength and toughness without reducing weldability. These characteristics allow the pipe to perform reliably when used as truss members subjected to tension, compression, and dynamic loads.
