For low-pressure fluid transportation, welded steel pipes are commonly produced using Q235B or ASTM A53 Gr.B carbon steel. Q235B provides a minimum yield strength of approximately 235 MPa, while A53 Gr.B offers about 240 MPa yield strength with tensile strength typically ranging from 415 to 550 MPa. The chemical composition is controlled with carbon generally below 0.22–0.30 percent and manganese content around 1.20–1.40 percent, ensuring good weldability and consistent mechanical performance. These properties are sufficient for handling water, air, and other non-corrosive or mildly corrosive fluids under moderate pressure conditions.
