Huayang 273.1 mm API 5L ERW steel pipes are manufactured from premium pipeline steel coils through advanced high-frequency electric resistance welding technology, ensuring uniform weld quality, accurate dimensions, and excellent mechanical performance. Available grades include API 5L Grade B, X42, and X52, with minimum yield strengths of 245 MPa, 290 MPa, and 359 MPa, respectively, meeting different line pipe service requirements. The 273.1 mm diameter is widely applied in oil and gas transmission pipelines, industrial process systems, and energy infrastructure projects. Huayang conducts hydrostatic pressure testing, ultrasonic weld inspection, eddy current testing, tensile testing, and chemical composition analysis to guarantee compliance with API 5L specifications. Pipe Protection
Pipe-end protection is advisable in case the pipe-ends are bevelled at the pipe manufacturer. In the case of overseas transport, there is an especially increased risk of damaged pipe-ends. This is caused by extra handling procedures in ports and shifting of the pipes onboard vessels.
In addition to end caps or protective rings, external wrapping with protective cloth can be applied along the pipe body. This wrapping helps to safeguard the coating surface from scratches, moisture, and contamination during long-distance transportation or prolonged outdoor storage. Especially for coated or painted pipes, the additional protective cloth layer significantly reduces the risk of mechanical damage, UV exposure, and corrosion initiation, ensuring the pipes arrive at the destination in optimal condition.
