Pipe Protection
Pipe-end protection is advisable in case the pipe-ends are bevelled at the pipe manufacturer. In the case of overseas transport, there is an especially increased risk of damaged pipe-ends. This is caused by extra handling procedures in ports and shifting of the pipes onboard vessels.
In addition to end caps or protective rings, external wrapping with protective cloth can be applied along the pipe body. This wrapping helps to safeguard the coating surface from scratches, moisture, and contamination during long-distance transportation or prolonged outdoor storage. Especially for coated or painted pipes, the additional protective cloth layer significantly reduces the risk of mechanical damage, UV exposure, and corrosion initiation, ensuring the pipes arrive at the destination in optimal condition.
