Huayang 146 mm API 5L ERW steel pipes are manufactured from high-quality pipeline steel coils using advanced high-frequency electric resistance welding technology, ensuring uniform weld strength, accurate dimensions, and excellent surface quality. Available in API 5L Grade B, X42, and X52, these materials provide minimum yield strengths of 245 MPa, 290 MPa, and 359 MPa, respectively, meeting the requirements of various fluid transportation systems. The 146 mm diameter is widely applied in oil gathering pipelines, natural gas distribution networks, industrial water systems, and process piping projects. Huayang performs hydrostatic pressure testing, ultrasonic weld inspection, eddy current testing, chemical composition analysis, and mechanical property verification to guarantee compliance with API 5L standards. External FBE, 2PE, or 3PE coating solutions are also available to improve corrosion resistance and extend pipeline service life in demanding environments.

Pipe Protection
Pipe-end protection is advisable in case the pipe-ends are bevelled at the pipe manufacturer. In the case of overseas transport, there is an especially increased risk of damaged pipe-ends. This is caused by extra handling procedures in ports and shifting of the pipes onboard vessels.
In addition to end caps or protective rings, external wrapping with protective cloth can be applied along the pipe body. This wrapping helps to safeguard the coating surface from scratches, moisture, and contamination during long-distance transportation or prolonged outdoor storage. Especially for coated or painted pipes, the additional protective cloth layer significantly reduces the risk of mechanical damage, UV exposure, and corrosion initiation, ensuring the pipes arrive at the destination in optimal condition.
