The technical requirements for carbon steel pipes mainly include the following aspects:
Welding material matching: The welding material must match the material of the carbon steel pipe. Different carbon steel pipes require different welding materials to ensure welding quality. For example, for the common Q235 carbon steel material, the E43 series welding rod can generally be selected. When selecting welding materials, be sure to check the product manual to ensure that its applicable material range includes the carbon steel pipe to be welded. Avoid using mismatched welding materials to avoid affecting the welding effect and structural strength.
Cleaning before welding: Before welding, the welding parts of the carbon steel pipe must be thoroughly cleaned to remove oil, rust and other impurities. These impurities will affect the welding effect, resulting in weak welding or quality problems.
Implementation standards: The implementation standards for carbon steel pipes include GB/T8163, GB6479, GB9948, GB3087 and GB/T5310. These standards specify the materials, manufacturing processes and inspection requirements for steel pipes. For example, GB/T8163 is applicable to oil products, oil and gas and public medium with design temperature less than 350℃ and pressure less than 10MPa; GB6479 is applicable to oil products, oil and gas with design temperature of -40~400℃ and design pressure of 10.0~32.0MPa.
Manufacturing process and quality requirements: The manufacturing process and quality requirements of steel pipes of different standards are also different. For example, steel pipes of GB/T8163 and GB3087 standards are mostly smelted by open furnace or converter, with relatively more impurities and internal defects; while GB9948 is mostly smelted by electric furnace, and the refining process outside the furnace is added, with fewer impurities and internal defects; GB6479 and GB5310 standards themselves stipulate the requirements for refining outside the furnace, and the material quality is the highest.
Application range: Carbon steel pipes are widely used in various industrial fields, such as tap water engineering, petrochemical industry, chemical industry, power industry, agricultural irrigation and urban construction. They are mainly used for liquid transportation (such as water supply, drainage), gas transportation (such as coal gas, steam, liquefied petroleum gas) and structural purposes (such as bridges, docks, roads and building structures).
